Unacceptable Behaviour

In recent years there has been an increase in the number of incidents involving violence and abuse to staff and visitors on NHS premises.

The Practice is committed to providing a quality care service with patients at the heart of the service delivery.  However, there are occasions where patients (or their relatives/representatives) act in a way which we consider to be unacceptable.  We have a duty of care to protect and support staff from incidents of unacceptable behaviour and we expect our staff to be treated in a respectful manner.  We understand that people sometimes get frustrated, but we will not tolerate behaviour which is deemed threatening or abusive.
