GP Appointment Requests

All requests for a GP appointment need to be processed through our online triage system and will be reviewed by a Clinician.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor or health professional to help you.

Nurse Appointments

To request an appointment with our nursing team please contact the surgery on 0161 357 2315 from 08.00-18.30. You may also recieve a text message with a self booking link for all long term condition management.

Your Appointment

Once your request has been triaged, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email

Cancelling or Changing an Appointment

To cancel your appointment:

  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  • using the GP online system via the link at the top of this page
  • phone us on 0161 357 2315, Monday to Friday from 08.00
  • reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message

Information for When the Practice is Closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Appointment Support

  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs
  • if you wish to have a chaperone present

Enhanced Access Appointments

Your local GP practices have teamed up to provide extra appointments:

Early morning Nurse appointments are available at Royton & Crompton Family Practice

Evening & weekend GP appointments are available at Royton Medical Centre. You may be offered an appointment once your online request has been submitted.

Teaching & Training

Royton and Crompton Family Practice is an Accredited Teaching Practice. Having attained the required quality standards set by the Department of Postgraduate GP Education we are permitted to teach medical students and qualified doctors undergoing further training (FY2 doctors and GP Registrars).

PLEASE NOTE: All trainees within the practice are supervised by senior clinicians.

You may be offered an appointment with a trainee, you will be informed of this when you are contacted for an appointment.
